The Registry Theatre's affordable rates are ideal for local performances and community groups, as well as professional arts events and corporate conference rentals. A showcase of Art Deco design, the theatre is air-conditioned, wheelchair-accessible and seats 150-166 patrons. The theatre operates on a self-serve basis. Basic sound and lighting equipment is included. Staff, technicians, and additional equipment can be provided at an additional fee.

How To Book

Hours Of Operation Flexible, but most rental days run 10:00 to 23:55.
Rental Policy If you do require extra help for your event, The Registry Theatre can arrange for a contract worker, e.g., a lighting and/or sound technician, for $20/hr. Please give us two weeks' notice. The Registry Theatre is not licensed for the sale or service of alcohol. A renter who would like to sell or serve alcohol must obtain a Special Occasion Permit under the Liquor Licence Act or arrange for a licensed premises with a caterer's endorsement to sell or serve alcohol. In either case, insurance coverage will be required. A $100 refundable security deposit will be retained by the theatre until the end of the Rental Period, and may be used at that time for extra cleaning, repairs or technical re-sets as are required. The deposit, less any additional charges, will be returned to you upon a satisfactory post-rental inspection.
Cancellation Policy Cancellation with greater than sixty (60) days’ notice from the first day of the rental period will result in a cancellation fee of $100 unless a replacement user can be obtained. Cancellation with less than sixty (60) days’ notice from the first day of the rental period will result in a cancellation fee of $100 regardless of whether a replacement user can be obtained. Cancellation within thirty (30) days from the first day of the rental period will result in a charge equal to the deposit, base rental fee and cleaning charges for the entire Rental Period or part thereof for which a replacement user cannot be obtained.
