The Brubacher House Museum is an 1850's Mennonite farmhouse located on the University of Waterloo campus, on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnawbe and Haudenosaunee peoples. Public tours are available from May to October, and we are available for tour and event bookings year-round.
This beautifully preserved home has become a landmark overlooking Columbia Lake and the University of Waterloo. The strong simple architectural lines of a past era contrast the modern lines of buildings on campus.
Our beautiful stone walkout basement offers a unique space for your next meeting, workshop, or performance. Modernity and antiquity combine with the open-hearth fireplace boldly standing next to the data projector and surround-sound system. The acoustics of the room favour a hearty hymn-sing or an intimate class setting. In the winter, bring your group inside after a long day of tobogganing on our hills to warm up by the fireplace with a hot cup of cocoa.
A special welcome to tour groups, families, school classes, community and church groups!
